More spectrum where Verizon is already and some new markets where they are not. Yea if you work for Verizon! Welcome to the fold.

I think that is stated wrong. Verizon is only getting towers. The customers are staying with Qwest and will use the Sprint towers for service. But a Nice way to look at it is best stated in a queen song...... "another one bites the dust".... or will soon at what they are renting towers from sprint for. By the way in one of the earlier threads someone mentioned the fact that Qwest pulled all of there stores..... well there back, at least here in Colorado. Too little to late if my opinion counts, but don't worry I know it doesn't. 😁

Yes, I have QWest for a landline provider and there are no stores here, in Idaho. Ironically, they don't even provide an easy web link to purchase hardware from their few stores.

Verizon Wireless is getting the towers and spectrum.

Qwest ownes no spectrum, they rent Sprint's towers. If Verizon bought "Qwest's network", that would mean they would be buying Sprint/Nextel.

hey genius....
check the date on the post for this.
it's started Jul 2, 2004.
the one you're responding to is from oct 14, 2004.
back then Qwest Wireless did own spectrum and they sold it all to Verizon Wireless (which gave VzW service in a few more markets).
as an ancillary part of the deal, Qwest was able to continue service as an MVNO on Sprint's network. Before you go insulting someone for a post, read up.
