What is evdo? Is the new LG A7110 a true evdo phone? I thought this technology is only for cdma technology is it?

EVDO is a 3G technology that stands for Evolution Data Only. It is a high speed wireless data transfer technology. It produces speeds of 300-500kbps.
It is a technology for CDMA only. EDGE is it's counterpart for GSM, however EDGE does not have transfer speeds that are as fast as EVDO. The A7110 is a GSM phone, so it will not have EVDO capability.
