I am so glad to be rid of that dreadful Audiovox 8600. My new LG 4500 is a charming phone, a real fun gadget.

It's nice to hear the ringer, it's loud and offers nice tunes (even Christmas carols). The speaker phone located on the exterior is something else. It works well and you can hear clearly, what huge difference from the Audiovox. I just love the speaking command functions, it's a totally cool phone

To all who need a new phone who do not wish to have a camera get yourself the LG 4500 🙂

Where can i find ringtones and backrounds and games to download to LG phones, either for free or cheap?? I have the lg l1150, where can i download these 3 things??

Love this phone, but the user manual leaves a lot to be desired!

Quesstion 1: Any "status" light? There is a small something by the camera mirror... no idea what that is.

Question 2: How do you activate the speakerphone?

Question 3: What is this "Answering Machine"?

I see the VX8000 is not Tri-mode. I live near the pine barrens in NJ(Analog area I think) . Does that mean there will be less coverage with this phone or is digital strong enough to carry in those areas. After all,VZ is suposed to have the MOST coverage-right?. Why would they let this phone with such a GOOD camera and SP/phone (which I want and need) be just a dual band? The Moto V710 dosen't take such good pix from what I see . I'm on Sprint(mainly cause of the cameraVM 4500 which is poorish/fair and LOUD SP/phone(but only half duplex) right now, but for these 2 phones I would switch if the coverage is better. Any feedback appreciated. Thanx

I'm getting a new phone with Verizon but I'm stuck between those two phones.

Personally, I like the appearance of the VX6000 over that of the VX4600 but the VX4600 is said to have longer battery life. Does anybody have any personal experience with either of the phones?

Also, if anyone has the VX6000, I've read a review that said the phone doesn't last through one day yet others have said that it lasts a couple days-a few days. Approximately how long is the battery life of the VX6000 on moderate use?

I was showing out VX7k demo today and recorded a ringer for a customer. NO WHERE in the documentation NOR on the phone did it say I could erase the ringtone.

Anyone know how to erase the ringtone w/o GAGIN?

I am guessing this is because I got the battery a little wet or something, but my phone is stuck on car kit mode...and I don't know how to fix it. Anyone know how to fix this?

I have the LG VX 4500 and noticed that you have the option to save objects sent to the phone via email and instant messaging or, atleast it appears that you can save things like pix and tones but I cannot. I always get something that says "Cannot save preloaded or incorrect formats" or something to that effect. Why is the option to save objects there if I cant save them. The messages even shows the file name of what was sent but the file isnt there. Anyone know whats up???

I just bought the LG VX 4500 and I have a few questions:

1. Is there a way to keep the display from dimming (going to sleep)...or at least prolong it?

2. In driving mode, is there a way when the phone is open to keep the driving menu on the screen so that you don't have to open & close the phone to activate it?

3. Is there a holder or something for in the car for the 4500? In driving modde, you have to keep the phone open, and relatively close to you to have the phone recognize you. I'd like to get something to affix on the door, or to the visor, somewhere in that area. Left it open in my cupholder but it didn't work.

I presently have an LG VX 6000 from Verizon.

I have GPS in the phone but apparently nobody supports it in the way I would like.

It would be useful to me to be able to do do
field surveys by taking a series of pictures and assigning each to a GPS; ideally camera location and target location in 3D coords
relative to a reference point with readout on a map.

It would be really nice to have a telephoto zoom feature and better resolution

I can take pictures put them in a gallery
and send them and I can receive pictures
and save them but for some reason I can't take the pictures from the gallery and associate
them with contacts without sending them and
then receiving them back.

I would also like to expand on the tip calculator ...

I just got this phone...I like alot about it...can hear well...BUT there's a very strong echo...any idea what might be causing that?

I recently got the LG VX4500, I used to have the 4400. It is a nice phone wish it had a camera but what you expect for 50.00 thru insurance. lol Anyway my question: Is there anyway to tranfers downloaded ring tones to the new phone? VZW cust service said no that I would have to redownload and pay for them all over again. That seems like a rip off being that I already paid for them. Any advise would be helpful

I need a trimode. The 7000 just introduced by Verizon, whom I have service with now and want to continue, is digital. Phone scoop has said all along there is a 7000a that is tri mode. how do i get it?

I am planning to sign up with verizon very soon. When i mean soon i mean very soon, like right now soon. But what is stopping me is that i have noticed a surprising amount of new phones coming out for verizon, finally after 3,000,000 years. But anyways, i am very interested in the LG VX4500, 4600, and the 6000. Could someone recommend one or should i wait another month to buy some of the new phones verizon is coming out with???
