NOKIA - I love you but you are failing me and the US public.
I have a nokia 6682. i love it. it's the greatest phone i've ever had, and the longest i've owned a phone for (got it in Jan of 2006)
that obviously means it's time to upgrade.
i'm an AT+T user. so what can I get?
Nokia, you have hardly ANY models on AT+T, or any US carrier for that matter, and virtually NONE that are smartphones.
Are you really trying your hardest to lose you share of the smartphone market? While RIM and Apple are making inroads and while Apple now has the best selling phone in the US ever (the 3G iphone) you have sat around and done what? opened a flagship store?

I really want your N79 phone. You know, they was the N95 which you even went as far as to advertise here (I saw billboards at the bus stops in SF) but I went to AT+T and guess what? they didn't have it.
I would have to buy online - from you - for like $400. If I want a N79, same deal.
Do you really think the mainstream US consumer is going to do that? you are sadly mistaken.
Why splash on that when you can get an iphone for $150-$200 with a new contract at AT+T?
I just don't understand it. I know so many people who have regretably left Nokia for other brands all because they can't get Nokia phones from their carriers and all because they don't want to pay ridiculous amounts for your cool phones.
