Inserting a pause for VM pin#

Doumb question but the manuel does not tell me how to insert a pause so that I can automatically have my VM pin # put in so that I do not have to dial it after VM picks up. Can't remember how to do that like I did on my V60. Thanks, Bob

Hey Bob,

Here is what I did on my V710 (even after VZW Tech told me it can’t be done): Go into the “Message Center.” Then Click on “Message Settings”, then click change on “Voicemail No.” Enter: *86p#password# then click Ok. The “p” after the *86 is a pause which can be selected by clicking on the Menu soft key and selecting “insert pause.”

What I also did was went into the phonebook and created an entry called voicemail with the same dialing info (*86p#password#). The reason I did this is because I’ve noticed that sometimes when I have new voicemail and I click on voicemail, it will call but not enter in my password. But if I go directly to my voicemail listing in the phonebook, it always works. I’m not sure what’s going on but i...

GM-West, thanks for the reply. I tried what you said, but it does not work. I have US Cellular for service. That may make a difference. Thanks for the input. Bob
