ring style changes when charging
when i plug in my V3 for charging, the ring style automatically changes to loud. how can i specify ring + vibrate style for plugged and unplugged?

Hmmm... the same thing happens with my V400 too. I'm not exactly sure how to stop that, but I personally like how it changes to loud automatically (i often forget to do that, so I miss a lot of calls when i put my phone down)

You cannot have it set to vibrate when plugged in. As we all know, when a phone is lying down and on vibrate mode it bounces along the surface of whatever it's lying on. I know for certain, any motorola phone after the v400 can not be set to vibrate while plugged in. This prevents any damage which might be doneto cradles that topple over, or power cords that would be wrenched when the phone falls off a counter and uses the power cable as an umbilical.

I actually beg to disagree i'm sitting here right now with mine charging and on vibrate you have to manually do it though. Oh it's a V400
