How to Set Up Google G-mail on Cingular V3/V551
I just successfully set it up, and as I had to search all over the Web for the info, I figured I'd post it here for the Phonescoop crew.
ISP settings: GPRS
E-mail provider: Custom
Protocol: POP3
User ID: Your gmail user name
Password: Your gmail password
Sending host: smtp.gmail.com
Sending port: 465 -OR- 587 (587 worked for me)
Receving host: pop.gmail.com
Receiving port: 995
Return address: Your gmail address
Name: Your Name
Cleanup: Your choice
Save on server: Yes or No
Notification: On or off
Check new msgs: Your choice
Hide fields:
Auto signature:
Security:
Size restriction: 65535
Highlight ISP Settings select change
Connection Type: GPRS
APN address: wap.cingular
User name: [email protected]
