Does anyone know how to make ringtones?
I have found a way of making ringtones but they are wasting my phones memory by so much like 700-900kb per song so is there a way to make the memory usage less because I saw that the amount of second per tone is the same if I were to buy it from at&t and it isn't like the 700-900kb im using up but it is from 40-90kb which is alot less. I have been noticed that the bit rate is 160 kbps and the bit rate for the tones I bought from at&t are 32-64kbps so I was thinking if that was the reason why my memory usage was so high so if anyone knows how to make the bit rate less from a song on the computer to send to my phone please reply or if anyone knows how to make the songs memory less
Thanks in advance

Run them through your MP3 program(again). (I personally use iTunes) There are settings in the program to set the bit rates.
I had to re-process all of mine because a different program I used didn't want to compress and sample the file right.

Can you tell me how to do it on itunes and be able to send it to myself
Thanks in advance

In the prefs there is a place to set your bitrate. Set it to a low rate. Put the mp3 to be re-processed in the play list. Right click and select "Convert to MP3" iTunes will resample and recompress the song to the lower bit rat.
As far as sending it to yourself I'm not sure what your method is. I personally use a data cable and a third party program to "upload" them directly to my phone.
I'd post the name of the program but want to check the TOS first. Don't wanna break any rules.

You can also use the mp3 files to make ringtones useing a "ripper" provided by www.planetringtone.net it will keep you in the 100's, and provide you with 20 second ringtones!

😁 1st - go to walmart.com
2nd - tab over to their music section
3rd - search for the artist you want DO NOT go to the "download music section" - if you do you will only be able to stream the music. Stay in the area where you purchase physical CDs.
4th - find a CD with a song you want, most of the songs will have 30 second clips in MP3 format - right click on one of them and "Save As"
5th - Change the Title and save to you computer. (You DO NOT have save it as Midi)
6th - put song on transflash, put in phone, turn on phone
7th- go to media galley> sounds> menu> storage card> T-flash >your song
8th- go to menu> send mess. > put 222-222-2222 ok >send
9th - go to messaging > outbox> read> menu >save> apply as ringtone
