Lookin for "The One"

looking for a brand new Motorola phone (GSM 850 is a must!) that has NO camera, LOUD speakerphone, and a 65k screen or more. Doesn't matter if its bar or flip. I believe I've used the Phone Finder a billion times, but it only displays so many phones. I need a phone that is built better than the V220 (plastic feel-wise), and when I say LOUD for speakerphone, not Loud-Distorted-Muffled, I mean similar to landline. Anyone own a Motorola phone with 850mhz support that is semi-new on the market with all these attributes, minus the camera ?

Only one that cingular has that fits that description is the V180.

I didn't mean just cingular.......plenty of phones are out there with 850mhz that you CAN'T get from cingular. I meant any Motorola phone with 850mhz, not any Cingular phone.

Actually...not really....unless you find an old AT&T gsm phone, because T-Mobile uses 900mhz, not 850...so the only 850mhz GSM phones currently in production are through cingular. Except for some of the most recent T-Mobile releases, because T-Mobile JUST started adding the 850mhz band to their phones. So yes, there are others out there, but the majority is cingular.

Actually T-Mobile uses 1900mhz. Probably just a type-o on your part.

Anyway, they do have some phones that support 850. As far as Moto phones with 850, they have the V330. But that has a camera which the OP didn't want. Other tri-band motos they have can be hacked to support 850.

The Motorola V540 should suit your needs. Basically a V551 without the camera. Should be available shortly from Cingular.
