What do all of the letters mean in the Motorola lineup? For example, the V's, the E's. I am sure that they mean something and I want to know so that I know which models to look at and which to leave alone.

I don't know either, that would be nice to know! What I do know is that I love the V series the most!

I have a Moto V60i, TDMA, purchased for AT&T several years ago. Just today I called my friend from the parking lot of a bunch of stores and the call was dropped. Meanwhile, while I was IN the store I met a gal who had a BlueTooth wireless in her ear and a Motorola (blue) in her purse. She loves it. I will be SO ready to get my new phone, whatever one it is, when my contract with AT&T expires.

BTW: One manager from a cell phone store told me that Nokias are the best and that Samsungs are better than Motorolas. I am very interested in the soon to come out Motorola RAZR V3x.

Be careful with this statement. You can't just jugdge an entire manufacturer on a few defective phones. While Samsung makes some quality phones, Motorola also makes quality phones on the same level.

Take the classic V180/220 and the V551/RAZR example. The 180 and 220 are alright phones, but tend to have problems with them. They are cheaply made, and sold for cheap. Spend a bit more money on a higher end 551 or RAZR, you aren't going to have problems with them. Samsung doesnt make these cheap end phones like Motorola does, s...

You are right about this. Sweeping statements are always wrong here and there.

E is entertainment series.

V is fashion series ("V dot" was always their fashion phone series, so the V just stuck)

A is advanced series phones.

The V6xx series was always looks. Some may argue looks over quality, but I disagree. The V600 is probably the snaziest looking phone Motorola has ever come out with. Except maybe the RAZR or the PEBL.
