V551 faceplates
I like the rubbery feel of part of the V551 faceplate, but hate the silvery part. Are there any faceplates made that are similar but without that silver part, or at least a variation of that theme? I've only seen plain plastic ones.
Also, I've seen transparent ones, but never what it looks like on the phone itself. Anyone know of any pics around of that?

Basically any faceplates not made by motorola are going to look like crap. I have searched high and low for some new sweet metal faceplate things for my V600, but to no avail. They are always plastic and crappy looking.

I've seen some V400 faceplates that looked great, but don't think I want to start screwing around with that. Plus I like the rubbery feel of my V551. If someone only make one with that material for the V551....

faceplates for either of these models void your warranty if they're placed on the phone. Tread with caution.

That would depend on how you can do things. If you have a problem with the phone change the face back to the oem and then send it in for warranty. There again, I dont see why any person couldnt take out 4 screws and put the face on and replace the screws. V600 I agree dosent have any decent faces, but we are talking of the 551, 505, 400, and I think that the 300 works on that one too. I have found several that will work and some look really good to be aftermarket.
