I have the V710 and recently my charger (both the wall and the car)fits in the slot very loosely, almost to the point of falling out, the only way i was able to get the phone to charge was to tie the wire aroung the antenna real tighly so it fits in the port. Now its not charging at all. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, is there a way to fix it? or is it covered under Motorola's warranty from Verizon? Im gonna go check it out tomorrow at the store, but i just wanted to see what others on the board have experianced with this. Thanks in advance

It's not just your V710. That's the way they ALL are. Great phone except for the charger port. There is only one solution. T...

Hmmm. Sorry but I wouldn't have waited more than 29 days. Let me know if you get any recourse but I doubt it.

moto phones are NOTORIOUS for having charger and battery issues. seriosuly, they should come with a warning label.

however, i was told by a cingular rep (the smart guys that they are) that moto had fixed this problem, and so got my gf a v551.

within 3 months, the charger plug will not stay in, both the home and car one, and the battery will not charge. also when you do manage to get a bit of charge it says "unable to hold charge"

piece of junk was sent back to moto for repair. if i ever get it back (it's been 2 weeks already) it's getting sold or trashed.

time to get her a nokia. i have never had any problems with their phones.

I've noticed that prob with motos. so long as the phone looks ok (see the post i did on the VZW forum "warrenty" for my rant) it should* be exchanged. Save your pics to a trans-flash card first, or they'll go bye-bye.

*for warranty, take an honest look at your phone and ask, "would i accept this back the way it looks"
