Using a flash card with a Motorola E815

Can anyone help me, I know it is probably the easiest thing in the world and I'm just overlooking it. I have placed some midi files on a flash card and would like to copy those to the phone to use as ringtones. What am I missing? I put the flash card in and turn on the phone. I can see the files on the flash card, but it doesn't give me the option of moving them to the phone? Thank you for any help.

Odds are that the phone won't let you do anything with your midi files. While that's the format for your ringtones, I imagine it won't let you transfer those files into your ringtones (ala Verizon). If you want the music, you'll have to convert those files to mp3 and just use it as music. Hope this helps.

wrong. there's is a work around for this...

send a pix message to yourself containing the desired midi's (up to 3 per msg).
once the message has been recieved, save the attatchments TO YOUR PHONE. do not immediately apply them as ringtones or they will be lost if you change it. This exploit works on the 710 and 815.

this is correct. just keep in mind that the file needs to be no larger than 350kb. and it's easy if you recieve it and it doesn't work. just resend it out of your media gallery back to you phone again in a message. while the message is sending delete the original file. next time you recieve it it will work even if you save it directly as a ringtone
