Motorola Repair Fraud

After a month my Razr ceased charging and after contacting Motorola, I was instructed to send it in to the repair center in Bloomington, Indiana. The "track my status" site at motorola.com indicated that the repair was completed (RMA# CC24091243) and that the phone was shipped back to me, but I never received it. When I called Motorola at 1-866-289-6686 about the phone not being received back, "Amanda" denied that the phone was ever received (USPS tracking #0305 0830 0001 5703 8524 shows that it was received on 12/27/05) and stated that the RMA# was not a valid number. The motorola "track my status" site also shows that it was received and "repaired", and contains a UPS tracking number for the return (1ZE9F47602698400😎 which shows that the phone was sent to a person in Chicago with the same last name (I live in Cleveland). I contacted the person in Chicago and he sent me the phone back, but it still does not charge.

question: does it say "invalid charger" when connected? if yes, go to the nearest (insert carrier) store and see if the in-store types can help. on the VZW side i've gotten this a few times and it has always been something with the charger. (customer came in, phone will not charge. duplicated on customers charger. tried instore charger, ok. tried customer charger on other handset, problem followed charger)

Hi tot, I was reading about ur problem and let me tell u, I am a Motorola rep so I look all the information regarding this case to see if I could help you. This is what I got.

As u say, the phone was sent to Chicago, IL, almost sure, the rep that takes ur call made a mistake typing ur address and didnt check with USPS. Let me also tell u that on the system we have all the information and actually it was returned unrepaired because Motorola found liquid damage as u ca read on this line from the tech lookup: Return Unrepaired - Liquid Damage.
