The H500 Bluetooth headset works WAY better than the HS850

So, I originally purchased the HS850 sometime last spring... it was OK... not loud enough, though. So I bought another one a month ago... It was even more quiet!!! Now, these headsets are NOT cheap. $99.99 retail.

So today, I purchased the H500 which is $54.99 retail... It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much louder.

Nice to know Motorola is charging $45 more for poorer quality.

Ack! I just bought a HS850 (its in the mail on its way) I heard it was a solid piece compared to the others with a few flaws ... but I really liked the easy flip boom connection.

my friend has one and just flips it open and "boom" - instantly connected...closes and disconnected.

the HS500 and H3 (new Razr one) will probably be a pain having to connect..just like my jabra was. I had to go in, turn bluetooth on, find devices, connect, etc...by that time the phone stopped ringing and voicemail picked up!

did you find an easy way to connect? as easy as your flip on the HS850?

If you pair your phone w/ the device, all you should have to do is turn it on. It takes about 3 seconds to push the button & it turns on, if that. It recognizes it automatically if you set it up to do that.

It really seems like you went all through that process for nothing... because if you just selected to "trust" the headset in the future, all you need is to turn it on. Yeah, you can't just flip it open & it'll turn on, but the QUALITY of the H500 over the HS850 is just insane.

1st off, it doesn't just BEEP. It actually makes a melody so that you know what it's doing. You know it's ringing, & you know it's turning on & off. The HS850 just BEEPS.

If I'm in the car, I cannot have the radio on @ all, or the A/C or heat on...

Well I finally recieved my HS850 and I think I see what youre saying. I heard so many mixed reviews about this piece, but in the end, I dont think its as good as my Jabra BT800 was. the only thing is does better is respond and connect quicker. other than that, the fit and quality of the BT800 is much better.

Im not too happy with my HS850 - it doesnt even fit on my ear (the thing sticks out like an inch away from my face???). my ears seem to be normal size and shape, but who knows.

I appreciate the advice, but it was too late for me, I had already ordered it and it was in the mail 🙂

thanks

There should be a return policy. Send it back, & get the H500. It fits SO much better & is loud.
