Yes and No, I have it on good word that it was Cingular who told Sony Ericsson not to put bluetooth in the Z500. They want customers to go to their web site and download content, especially with the EDGE service.

I'd have to disagree...
1. If that was the case Cingular would stop offering Bluetooth phones period.
2. If that was the case, the Sony Ericsson s710a would also have no Bluetooth, considerings its EDGE equipped as well.
3. The European/Asian version of the z500 also doesnt have Bluetooth.
4. Let's not get Cingular mixed up with Verizon Wireless.
Bottom line, Sony Ericsson obviously chose not to integrate Bluetooth into the z500a, nor the z500i.
1. If that was the case Cingular would stop offering Bluetooth phones period.
2. If that was the case, the Sony Ericsson s710a would also have no Bluetooth, considerings its EDGE equipped as well.
