k550i USB Transfer Problem

Greetings to all,

I just bought a SE k550i (Pearl White) and its running quite good. The problem is when I try to transfer files to it using the USB connection. I got the 512MB M2 card with it, but when I connect to the phone using the USB cable and transfer files to the M2 card it takes horrible *slow*.

The cable is not the problem as when I transfer the same files to the built-in memory of the card it transfers more than 3x faster to it. I don't know if its a problem with the phone trying to read the card (I hope not... I really like the phone 😲 ) or the card itself.

I hope you all can help, I welcome any suggestions and advice. I have only a one (1) month warranty on the phone here.

How fast can you transfer data via USB to the built-in memory and the M2 card?

I did a test manually using Windows Explorer and got these results using the USB cable.
I transferred the same set of files (10.9MB) in both cases.

For built-in memory,
Transfer time: 42 seconds
Average speed (Calculated): 265.75KBps

For M2 card,
Transfer time: 2 minutes 9 seconds
Average speed (Calculated): 86.52KBps
