BlackBerry 9000
Please post up any info on this phone.
I am a treo 700w user with Verizon now for 2 years. I love the phone and the service. I want all the same features but with a better camera...the BlackBerry 9000 looks to be that and more.
thanks!
Curve: GPS integration? Max memory?
I wondered if anyone here has any feedback on the GPS feature (using the available subscription service, not just the integration with Google maps)? How does it compare to a dedicated device, such as Garmin's Nuvi 750? How are incoming phone calls handled when you're trying to use the device as a navigation device?
And then, he was also curious if there is a limit to how much memory the phone can handle. Obviously, this is dependent on what you put in it for a memory card, but what is the max memory card size that it supports? He is interested because he wants to use it for music...
Pearl vs Curve???
I am using the phone for 40% work 60% personal. I need a calendar/todo list/word to keep me organized with work and school, I send about 2000+ texts a months so the full keypad will be useful, I use the web decent amount, e-mail is a push I could live without it but its also covenant, IM/camera the same
batt life i could always charge it in my office as well as the car...
any input is appreciated....
Pearl 8120. Healthcare programs.
My wife works in a hospital as a dietitian and uses a Palm Lifedrive with a lot of add-on programs specific to healthcare. I have not been able to find many compatible programs yet.
Does anyone know of where to find programs (free are nice)(CDC Growth charts, prescription database, etc.)?
Generally speaking, does the BB system work in a similar fashion to a standard PDA?
Thanks for the help on these questions and any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Phone Finder for BB with GPS
We wanted to let you know about our newest product, Berry Locator. A few months ago, we released "Find My Berry", an application that lets you retrieve your lost BlackBerry by simply sending an email. Berry Locator works the same way, but in addition, if your device has GPS, it will send you a google map with the location of your lost BlackBerry.

Sounds pretty cool to me.
Verizon Pearl 8130 - Address book won't load when composing emails
Been using my Verizon Pearl 8130 since December without any problem until yesterday. I have my work email and one gmail account set up on the device.
Now since yesterday, whenever I compose an email, contact names from my address book will not be "auto-recognized". The only thing I can use is the lookup tool from the Enterprise server at work, which is pretty annoying when I want to send personal emails using my gmail account.
I have plenty of space left on the device, and I did not change anything else in the configuration.
Any idea how to solve this issue?
Thanks!

Blackberry Pearl Question
internet question (8310)
"You are attempting to open a secure connection, but the server's certificate is not trusted"
It then gives me the options:
Continue
Close Connections
View certificate
Trust certificate
Right now I just select continue, but then it pops up everytime. If I select "Trust certificate" it wants me to "please choose a new key store password" When I type in something random it says "invalid password. sequence was entered."
Is there a password I should know? How do I figure out what the password is supposed to be?
Thanks for the help.

Downloading new applications to Blackberry Pearl
No additional applications designed for your device were found
Blackberry Help says:
This message appears if you try to add an application that is not compatible with your device or is already on your device.
This can't be right because I read the reviews for the software and there are people using my identical phone that love the software. Also I downloaded at least 8 programs and every one of them generates the same error.

Blackberry Pearl 8130- Sprint
curve 8310 vs. 8820
i dont know which one of these will be better for me. i understand that the curve is more of a consumer grade BB, but does that mean it lacks in the business features or does it add the additional consumer features, making it more robust?
some background: my company just moved me into IT and am now responsible for monitoring our carrier-class network (yikes!). i used to be on the construction end.
here are some of the features i definetly need:
remote desktop (i know its an addon program)
tethering modem
fastest network connectivity (verizon or at&t?)
ability to read word, excel, visio
ability to access my VPN
internet

Blackberry 9100?!
-Touchscreen with a 320x480 resolution
-3G cellular Internet over HSPA
-Real Time GPS
-Wi-Fi
-2-megapixel camera (possibility of 3.2-megapixel sensor)
-the large screen suggests the removal of a physical keyboard but might not rule out the possibility of a slide-out keypad
-Possible release date in Spring 2008?
Any info on this subject would be much appreciated. And photos of prototypes would be amazing (if there are any!)
