KRAZR K1M - Can't Email .MID Ringtones via VZWPIX Anymore?
Note: This is about .mid files, not MP3's.
Just picked up a brand new KRAZR today but cannot get it to allow me to email even the smallest .mid tones to it like I did for years on my V3C. Phone is running 24.1_00.25.0C
I use [email protected] to email the .mid, I receive it as a .mid, I save it to My Sounds, but it never shows up in Ringtones and it never gives me the option in My Sounds to use it as a Ringtone.
I sent about 10 .mid's over to the phone today, all are 1kb or less in size, all are saved in My Sounds, yet none of them appear in Ringtones or are an option when changing Ringtone settings. They are not being converted over to .qcf files. They are good old, tiny .mid's.
Help.

TRY THIS:
Open pix msg on your cell phone and direct it towards yourself.
insert sound (pick one of your .mid files)
send
wait for it to arrive 😛
then go to your sent messages and open up that sent message and save file
see if that works, if not, open the newly recieved message that you just sent yourself and try to save from there.
If neither works, I dunno what to tell you.
I don't have this phone yet, but considering it however, I've done this method with all sorts of files and yes, sometimes emailing didn't work but sending messages to yourself does and I hadn't found a newer mp3 phone yet that I hadn't been able to manage getting both mid and mp3's on yet.
