Exterior Volume Control?

Hello all! I currently own a Motorola RAZR V3c and absolutely hate it. One feature that completely sucks is that the way the ringer rings can be changed from the outside very easily. For example, vib&ring to soft to loud to silent...etc. etc. Is this the same on the KRZR?

You still change the ring volume/vibrate with exterior side keys but it will not change unless the phone is open.
