Motorola KRZR K1m
KRZR K1M vs. MP3 Ringtones
but my KRZR has all these locks over their ringtones. very annoying.
if it's truly about making $$, it's kinda odd-- because the Samsung A990 has enabled My Sounds to be used as ringtones-- but they're *.mid files.
I actually make my own ringtones but I no longer have a way to use them âšī¸ If anyone learns of a way to get them on the phone, please let this forum know!!

cool that worked! since that worked, i suppose you can also just email PHONENUMBER@vzwpix.com, too.

take a picture. email it to yourself from the phone. respond to the email with the mp3 attached. save the sound (options menu). the sound is now able to be used as a ringtone.

or for that matter anyone else who lives in LA

well it seems that your the only person able to do this??? dont you find that weird????
email the file to [email protected]
open the pixflix message, from the options menu, select save sound.
when you go into a contact to choose the ringtone, your sounds will be there.
Same with pictures.
I only wanted about 5 tones and a couple of photos that were on my old phone...

Did any of you sign up at https://www.vzwpix.com/login.do ? Maybe that's the key. It's not like I have godlike powers, and others on HowardForums are writing that it worked for them as well. Or maybe it's that I do it from a Mac? I don't know but the procedure worked for me to get photos and mp3's onto my phone. I didn't rename any of them and the tones ranged from 75 to 750k. I was told that GMail is best, but I've also used .Mac; once again:

Or do you mean when someone else calls?
I have my default ringer set to one mp3, I have my 3 best friends set as different mp3's and I have my mail alert set to a still different one. I don't know why you guys are having all this trouble. I was not going to keep this phone if I couldn't get the ringers I have been using for 2 years on my V710 onto this one. This is the way that I found that worked. Like I wrote, I am willing to meet at the Apple store at the Grove in LA after work if you want to see the procedure I used. Other than that I don't know what to tell you.

Not on mine- I read on HowardForums that happens if you have it set to vibrate them ring, though.
