DTMF TONES WITH CALLING CARD

this software as suposed to the original phns not altered by Verizonwireless is preventing to send DTMF tones when you are about to call over seas. What I mean is if you have a calling card you enter the local tel number then W (wait), you hit ok to send the pin (DTMF tones) but the you are about to make the internatinal call and when you go thru the phn book to choose the number there is no option to send the tones, in other words you have to have memorized the intl. number if you want to dial otherwise you are srcued. somebody in motorola has to fix this b/c there are millions of people using this feature. 👿

HOLY CARP HOLY CARP HOLY CARP! Bluetooth transfer!

I just waltzed down to the cingular kiosk (cool guy) and asked him to use his phone to try to "send" him a picture, see if it works or not... well it did... then he tried sending me a pic, and it goddamn WORKED! Ringtone, WORKED. Video WORKED... HOLY CRAP!

Did anyone not purchase their phone from VW?

I was just curious to know if anyone purchased their KAZR K1M from other than Verizon Wireless? I see that you can purchase the phone only from LetsTalk.com and it's less than if you purchased just the phone from Verizon Wireless. I just renewed my contract in March, so I have a while before the "New Every Two" applies to them, that's why I know that it's going to be much more expensive.

If you don't purchase directly from them, can you still activate your phone from their website, or do you have to speak with a customer rep. to inform them that you have upgraded and want to activate a new phone?

K1m OBEX bets ?

Well, Moto released the pre-Christmas RAZR with OBEX, but then stripped the 2006 releases. Then they released the Q with OBEX, which did not have BREW. Who knows what Verizon's policy will be on OBEX for the K1m?

The Nokia 6256i also had OBEX and so do their PDA units. I think the trend is headed toward if the phone has BREW enabled, then no OBEX.

Im think that any Verizon phone with BREW will not have OBEX.

Phonescoop says the K1m has SyncML and PC Synch, while the V3c/m do not. That is a very good sign that it will.

Any bets on whether the K1m will have OBEX?

some pics cant be moved to the card, why???

i am getting ready to trade my k1m for the v3m and iam going though my pics moving them to my card, some will move and some theres no option for it to move?? wounder why????

Status Light?

It appears there are status lights on the outside of the hinges on either side of the KRZR.

I saw a display in a Verizon store where they were illuminated in red (not an actual phone, but a cardboard display).

Couldn't find anything in the phone menu or instruction manual that indicated this. Anyone know?

Contact Ringtone I set it - ? not working?

Hi

Purchased some ringtones from Xringer

I see them under call sounds, and my ringtones

set the ringtone I wanted to the contact id

But it only uses the "regular" ringtone I have for other people -

Under contacts, I see the ringtone I want to be there under the contact id info - but it doesn't use that when they call???

What do all the "locks" mean on the ringtones in the setting menu? And why are they green, and the ones I purchased yellow - and all of them have "locks"

K1m vs 8300

Anyone have experience with both the 8300 and K1M in terms of reception and battery. K1M is better looking, but in the end I want a phone that just plain works. Saw the K1M and the internal display is dissapointing coming from a CDM9900 which has great reception and battery life. Saw reviews of the LG 8600 (LG810) on asia cnet with bad batter life reviews...so guess between these 2 on the ne2.

anyone know how to shut off the screen saver

Does anyone know how to turn off the screen saver on the outside cover of the phone. I selected a screensaver and now I can't turn it off. I just keeps on turning on randomly?

Charging Port

the QUICK way to dial a contact

on new LG i was able to type the first few letters of someones name and press the down arrow to get their number up on the screen fast. Is there a way with the KRZR to quickly get a contact number up and dail it without going through the phone book?

any recommendation on transfering files to krzr?

i just got a 1 GB microSD card for my krzr today. i don't have bluetooth card on my pc or usb cable for the phone. should i get the verizon music essentials Kit ($29) so that i could load songs onto my phone? any suggestion? also, will i be able to charge my phone thru the usb cable? thanks in advance 🙂

ps. is there an easy way to pull the microSD card out once it is inserted in the slot?
