Motorola RAZR maxx Ve
Picture torn in half?
It seems to take the picture just fine, but after saving it, the icon appears.
Ideas?
Interestingly, I just activated my second Maxx on Friday (the first could not access Get It Now, but that's a whole 'nother story). To my pleasant surprise this camera problem appeared to be resolved; I could now view these higher resolution photos. That is, until I loaded the new Maxx with my address book and calendar. Now, just like with the first Maxx, I too get the "torn photo" icon when I try to view photos in my gallery that were taken at 1600 X 1200.
I sent an email to Motorola last week but, as expected, have not gotten a reply.
After sending the torn icon photo to my computer via bluetooth, I could not open it--it's completely whacked.
Hmm...
The only other "Hmm" I have with the Maxx is that my battery indicator stays at full for two days, and then heads toward empty pretty fast. I get about 3 days on a charge...
I came to the Maxx from an LG 4500 (no camera/no speakerphone) after carefully evaluating all of the available Verizon phone offerings. In my opinion, the Maxx is still the best phone Verizon offers and, but for a couple of glitches, I am more than happy with it. My hope is that Motorola and Verizon will listen to the feedback they are getting and take steps to resolve some of these bugs.
Perhaps someone will have an explanation for the torn picture icon.
Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, for me the "torn photo" icon shows up on ALL 1600 X 1200 resolution photos I take.
A minor bug. Save to the memory card and then MOVE it to the phone if you really want it stored there.
The corruption icon will transform to the image. New firmware being released shortly.
