MP3 player, ringtones, and playlists
I copied some music on to the card (in the Music folder) and the application I used, Media Monkey also put playlists for each album into the Playlists folder.
My first problem is that these playlists are not recognized by the phone. When in the music player if I select Playlists, the list comes up blank. So what do I need to do to make .m3u (or any format really) playlist import into the phone's player?
Mostly, I just want to be able to shuffle through all songs, and I see that is an option. But I have some mp3 ringtones and if I use the All option I get my ringtones in the mix which I do not want. So I was thinking I could just make a playlist of what I put on the SD card and shuffle that, but so far no luck. I see I can make the playlist on the phone, but it would be very tedious.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
I came up with a reasonable workaround for shuffling all the music on it. I just converted my mp3 ringtones to .mmf (using a free online converter - Google for it) so that keeps them out of the mix. Worked well for my run last night. Nice to have one less thing to carry but still get my tunes.
