Saving Ringtones

I have created a ringtone, but I cannot get it on my phone. Can someone please give me step by step instructions on how to 'save' a ringtone on the u540? I really need help. I tried to email an attachment, but I receive a txt message only. What am I doing wrong?????

If you have a vzwpix.com account, you can send the ringtone to your phone through whatever email service you have. (your cell number)@vzwpix.com then it should show up on your phone as a "pix" message and then it should play. Then you can save it.
