i760 WiFi connection question
I ran a search for this and couldn't find an answer, hopefully you can help me. I also look over the manual and visited VZW's online tutorial for this phone and contacted Data Support.
I am trying to test the WiFi connection on my i760 and I am having a problem. I also have my laptop open just to reconfirm what the phone is seeing.
When I enable WiFi on i760 and look at the list of available ports, it shows about 6 or 7 available, but it doesn't tell me which ones are secure and which are open.
When I look at this list on my laptop I get twice as many ports and it shows me the open ones and it actually automatically tries to connect to open ports.
The i760 didn't show any open ones, pretty much all port it was showing were secured (I know this, because I was seeing those ports on my laptop). Even 1 open port that was available, it couldn't connect to it.
How can I know make my i760 to work like my laptop, to not only show me available ports, but distinguish between secure and open and then try to connect to the open ports only?
How can I tell using the i760 which ports are open and which are secure?

I posted this question at another forum and learned that the i760 actually shows a tiny "lock" icon next to the WiFi ports that are secure. this icon is so tiny that I had to use a magnifying glass to see. But because of its orange color, and knowing that it's there, it's now easy to spot. S
