flickering Display in landscape mode
I've had my new phone for few days I like it so far, however I have two issues with it:
* In Landscape mode (when the display dims down) it start flickering (usually in Internet explorer, more visible when receiving data or ), i was wondering does anybody know if it's a faulty display or it has something to do with power management?
* The other issue is I don't get notified when new email arrives, I have it set to beep & flash. I receive the new email notification in messages but otherwise it doesn't do anything else, this is specially annoying when the screen in dark, i have to keep checking my phone for new emails. Any thoughts?

Mine is doing the same thing in the "dim" mode. I am not too sure what could be done there other than possible power regulation issues.
My bigger complaint is like your email issue but with text messages. I use my phone as a pager for my on-call duties. If I get a page in the middle of the night the first set of tones do not wake me up. Worse yet is there is not an option for the device to keep warning me until it is viewed like you can on a normal cell.
The option for the email though would be set under the settings>sounds and notifications>notifications tab and you can configure for a sound to be played. Good luck and any help on the text message piece would be greatly appreciated

I have my email set through settigs> notification. I think the problem is by using the Verizon wireles sync it only detects receiving data not email. Hopefully Verizon will fix it through a software update.
The only though I have regarding your text messages issue is using a loud long mp3 file that you create or download. Good luck

You might want to try phoneAlarm. You can set most alarms and alerts to use any sound you want and to repeat in almost too many different patterns (every 30 secs, 2 mins, 5, 10, escalating units of time,...). I think this will help you. You can also have the screen turn on with the alert. This might help wake you up (this screen is darned bright at 100%). Best of all, you can make a profile so it functions this way only at night if you like and differently when you are at work or home or...
