upgrade questions
hey guys
Currently I have the old EnV, the one before the new voyager. I was thinking of upgrading to this but had questions based on the data usage. Is there any charge to sync programs and email through outlook through your computer? Can I access wireless internet, say from my router, without having to pay data charges? I guess I'm just confused on when the data will be used. I understand if I'm EVDO I will be charged. Thanks for any help.

If using your own WiFi wireless router, then the i760 will utilize that instead of the Verizon network. What I did, I don't have the data plan cause I don't want to pay the $45/mo and I'm usually near a computer or wifi anyway. So the phone shows a list of wifi networks and you hop on. It also will conveniently auto connect to same networks if you tell it to always connect. At work, I plug in the data wire into my Vista pc and Autosync activates. What this does is, it will use your PC's internet connection and your phone can cruize the web, copy files, or sync. I don't use outlook on the phone or email, but whatever you do for free on your pc, you would then be able to do same on the phone via the usb cable. I just can't figure why i ...
