I760 and Syncing With Outlook

So I just bought the i760 and i like it alot. But i can't get it to sync with Outlook. Im Not too techy of a guy but im figuring this stuff out one day at a time. Here is the error message i get when i try to use the Microsoft ActiveSync:
Cannot Sync with Outlook Profile you are using, Because a different profile was previously set up Or the profile is password protected. Please open outlook with the appropriate profile.

I know it seems self explanatory but i can't figure it out.
Can anyone help?

i have the same problem. my samsung i670 synced everytime i hooked it up. this phone NEVER syncs and i even had the IT deptartment at my job working on my phone and they can't figure it out either.

I have it synced to my Outlook just fine. How are you trying to sync it? using the usb, or bluetooth?

usb - i plugged it into my laptop yesterday and it synced with my outlook calendar but i dont want this one synced i want the one i have at work synced. whatever. verizon is sending me a new phone and i should have it monday. so far after a month of having this phone i hate it.

Obviously it is too late to help this user since is post was over a year ago, but his final post identifies exactly the problem that he had.

The software can only sync with ONE Outlook profile. The fact that it would sync with his laptop IS why it wouldn't sync with outlook on his desktop.

The solution would have been to uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync and be sure to sync the phone with Outlook on the desktop NOT on the laptop.
