W/the iphone, what type of e-mail do you need? It is possible to set-up your yahoo or aol e-mail account on the phone? I know that you can't IM but I was just wondering 😁

Yes, the iPhone supports both IMAP and POP3 accounts. This includes AOL and Yahoo and just about any other email account out there.

Remember though that Yahoo doesn't support POP3 email support for sending emails unless you pay for your account. For the free account it only allows for receiving of msgs via POP3.

I haven't used Yahoo, but AOL supports IMAP and SMTP (both supported by the iPhone) for sending and receiving email. This also applies to AIM mail

Do you mean you can't use SMTP with free Yahoo accounts? POP3 is for retrieving email, not sending email.
