How can I cancel two Verizon contracts without paying $175 each?
My verizon contract was up for a while. I have been blessed with an iPhone! I am in awe by it. my wife and son have verizon contracts that don't expire until January. Is there a way to get out of the contracts without paying $175 per line?

I am a former VZW customer service rep and I can promise you one thing...they will NOT allow you to avoid paying the termination fees. There are some sites available where people buy out each others agreements, but that would make me nervous. Find out their specific end dates and see it it's cheaper to terminate early or leave alone.

I have been there. Two options anyone can do:
#1 - Give your phones to someone you know and have them take over you contracts. They must go to verizon with you to do so.
#2 - If you have nice phones with all of the acessories, boxes, etc.. Sell them on EBAY using the money earned to pay your termination fees. That is what I have done in the past.

Or, if you live near an alltel area, keeping making the majority of your calls on their towers, and puff vzw will terminate you.

lol...that would not work at all...they need a death certificate and someone that will asume the responsibility....

I think they'd only require a death certificate. I think the two year agreement is up upon death.
