Motorola Q Global / Q9h
The HOW TO for Nintendo on your Q --->
All of the ROMS when you download the RAR file will not fit on your phone. You will need to install them on your memory card if you want all of them on your phone. I just picked like 10 games I liked to play.
IT IS ILLEGAL TO KEEP ROMS ON YOUR COMPUTER THAT YOU NEVER BOUGHT WHEN YOU HAD A NES! I am not responsible for you downloading and playing games illegally. That’s why I am providing this info as educational ONLY! =)
1. Make a folder on your desktop called Q Docs
2. Inside Q Docs make a folder called ROMS and make a folder on your DESKTOP called ALL ROMS.
3. Download the files here:
892 Nintendo Roms – http://rapidshare.com/files/67676510/Roms.rar .html (Extract to the ALL ROMS folder on your desktop. Then move the games you want to your ROMS folder inside the Q DOCS/ROMS folder.)
PocketNester and other files needed – http://www.soldonline4you.com/Q/nes.rar (Put it inside the Q Docs folder NOT ROMS)
4. Sync your Q and drag the contents inside Q Docs to the My Documents Folder on your Q.
5. Run the file tgetfile.spvarm.cab from your Q. It will install the necessary files for Pocket Nester to work.
6. Run Pocket Nester on your Q and click Options (right soft key)
Start by clicking on preferences and check the box “Associate .NES files†click
OK (left soft key)
Options-and click Graphics. Check the box “Show all 240 scanlines†click OK
(left soft key)
Options and click Sound Uncheck “Enable Sound†if you don’t it will be
VERY loud and you can’t adjust the volume. Click OK
OptionsControllers (this will make any button you want on your Q up,down, left, right,a,b,select, start, etc) Use your navigation pad on the Q to highlight the box next to A. It has three dots. Now once you click the small button in the center of your nav pad it will wait for your next key press and record that as the A button in the game. I use a on my Q for A… so I would press a. You will see the text next to A change to 0X41 if you used a as I did. Do this for the remaining buttons. Here is what I have found easiest.
A is a on Q
B is s on Q
Select is Z on Q
Start is X on Q
Up is (up on dpad) on Q…..Same for Left, Right, Down
Menu is Space Bar… (this pauses the game so you can change your Prefrences etc)
Now click OK
7. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE…. DO THIS:
Click FILE (left soft key) and EXIT. This will save your settings. If you open a NES ROM and get a call or just exit out of the program any other way it WILL NOT save everything you just set up. Once you exit the program the way I told you, you will be good to go.
8. Now you can open a ROM from pocketnester …. But I prefer going to my Rom folder from My Documents and just clicking on what I want to play. If you set up tgetfile correctly earlier than it will just load it up for you.
Enjoy!
