Internet Speed, Voice Quality & Ringer Volume
Hey everyone! I am thinking about getting the Curve and have some questions.
Please keep in mind I am coming from the Sony Ericsson .
1. I know its not 3G, but any complaints about the speed of EDGE?
2. How's the voice it perfect, loud or low?
3. I read the ringer volume could be anyone agree or disagree?
*Bonus Question:
4. Should I wait for a 3G Blackberry, which should be released in 4Q?

How do you know this? Who will be the carrier VZ or ATT?
Which model will have 3g? Curve, Pearl, or another?

@jskinvest - Regarding your question, just do a Google search for future 3G Blackberry and you will find the information. About carrier, nothing has been announced yet and I think it will be a new model.

That 8707v is going to be for vodaphone and won't have 900/1800 HSDPA for the US, just 2100. So its a non issue to wait for a 3g blackberry. If you really want to drain your battery with 3g rock the 8830 on Verizon. I have the curve, and I do a ton of browsing (15mb in less than 3 days) and EDGE seems to be working out just fine. I was even able to use Google Maps while driving the other day and get to where I was going en route. I am loving this phone. There are so few con's and its just great.
As far as call quality (speaker clarity / volume) I have no issues myself. I find that I have to turn down the volume in calls sometimes even. Likewise with the speaker phone, its loud and clear.

@Nick - Great information and thank you! I have just a few replies.
I understand what your saying about the 3G Blackberry. As you mentioned, it just sounds likes it is going to be a few years before we see a 3G Blackberry in the US.
I am glad to hear EDGE is fast and works great.
For call quality, the W600i I currently have is that loud as well, so glad to hear the Curve is loud too.
But regarding the ringer settings...am I correct in saying there is not a dedicated vibrate function only? From your comment the only option is vibrate/ring?
