a simpler way of making a call??

I tested the new Chololate at a Verizon store, and it seems that making a call is more complicated than it should be. I would need to press the "contact" button to get to the contact list, wheel down to the person I want to call, and, instead of just pressing a "call" button like most other phones, I would need to press an "option" button, wheel down again to choose the "call" option 😕

For those of you who have been using this phone, can you set up the phone so that you can simply get to the contact list, wheel down to the person you want to call, and then just press a "call" button and make a call?

Thanks

I open my contacts, scroll to the person I want to call and press the SEND key.

If I want to do it closed, I scroll to the person and just hit VIEW (center button) and then CALL (the left select button). Contacts, scroll, view call. Piece of cake.

Thanks for the info. Yes, it's true that I could just scroll to the person I want to call and press SEND. I was thinking about an easier way of making a call with the phone closed. I've read some negative reviews about the slider's being broken or gotten loose, so I was thinking about programing all numbers into the phone and only slide it open when I really have to (that is, if I decide to get this phone -- it does look very good 🙂 )

dude. read a person's ENTIRE message before you respond. The gentleman said in the 2nd half of his post that you can call out with slide closed and he laid out an easy 4 step process for you. I can attest that his closed-slide method is correct and is this principle way the I make calls as well. also you can unlock the keys when closed and press the voice command button and voice dial your call. hey man enjoy it, Ive had it for 3 days and its easily my best phone.
