So I've heard some people wish tehre was an easy way to lock the keyboard...if you go into your language settings and turn off the input language shortcut option, hitting alt then enter will lock your keyboard

You can also change the shortcut buttons on the side (those pre-programed for camera and PTT) from within the options menu.
I changed the 'camera' button to a "Keyboard Lock' button. So, 1 touch and my keyboard is locked.

Easiest way to lock the phone is to hold down the button on top of the phone and then pressing it again to unlock it. Its not so much a lock but standby. No fuss no muss.
