.. use the speakerphone without using the internal button? it seems weird that you would have to open the phone before or during a call to activate the speaker then close it.

If it's the same as the enV is which I think it is, then yes you would have to turn the speakerphone on just by opening the phone and hitting the button. That's always been one of the things that bothreed me about the phone as well but there's just nothing you can do about it. After you turn your bluetooth off every single time it also automatically deactivates the speakerphone mnadyou have to rmemember to turn it back on so you odn't have to turn it on during a calland miss something the other person said. It's just the way it is...

The only way to activate it is with the device open, the best place to go to learn all this stuff is vzw.com/data. select lg from the list, click on the voyager and you can type your question into the search bar, itll pull up anything you need! WONDERFUL resource!
