Transferring Ringtones from Micro-SD onto Voyager
I have hundreds of custom made ringtones on my Micro-SD card from my old phone (Moto E815). On my new LG Voyager, under the -Get It Now- category, I can get them to show up in the -Sounds- category, but I cannot get them over to the phone to use as ringtones. WITHOUT using Bitpim (haven't used it before, and looking for easier way), there has to be a way to do this. For the time being, I only have a Txt/Pix mssg plan on my phone, with no Internet plan (I know, I know ---crazy for not having one with this phone, but watching costs for now). Just install the modem drivers off the VZW CD you got with the phone first 🙂
Really is not that hard and I honestly do not think you can do any harm to the phone.......never heard of BitPim doing that.
When you receive the message and open it up, you will have the option to "save as ringtone" from the right soft-key (options button).
This is a very easy method and it doesn't require BitPim.
For rintones between 300k and 500k, they will send as well, but Verizon's MMS server will convert the file to "aac" format and they will lose a little bit of the quality. 👀
For ringtones over 500kb in size, the only option is to use BitPim, AFAIK.
