Why am I having so much trouble working the camera feature on this phone? No matter what I do , it takes a really bad picture. Any thoughts? It seems to take video most times rather than a photo too. No matter what I do....

Maybe if it's taking bad pictures, try changing up the resolution settings on it. It could be just a bad phone and you ahve to have it replaced at tech support. That's all I can think of for now.

One thing that I did have to get used to .... by default it doesn't take the picture instantly. It takes a few second for the auto-focus to settle. I think that most people (me included) tend to click and ASSUME that the picture is done.

One tap of the camera button will bring up the camera, if you hold it down for 1-2 sec, it goes straight to video camera.
Make sure you are using "average" photometry for the auto-focus box, and [AF] auto focus is set to "one-step" and the image resolution is set to the max (1600x1200), this should help. 🙂

Zooming on video camera but not on picture? Am I wrong? Seems like I can only zoom when recording.
