how can i get new alert sounds for texts bc i like the samsung chime and blackberry sounds and i want to get them somehow...please let me know thanks

use a program that can edit audio (I use the sound editor that came with roxio) and save whatever clip it is that you want as a 128k mp3.
then either pair up with the bluetooth on your computer (if you have it) and drag the file to the OBEX file transfer on the phone
or
get the mp3 into the "my_sounds" folder on your memory card
then go to Get It Now > music and tones > my sounds > then select the sound you want to use and click send > then put in your OWN number and press send.
you'll get a picture message that plays the sound. go to Options and Save as Ringtone. give it a name and VOILA!
then all you have to do is navigate to the ringer and choose Set As and select Alert Sounds then txt message.
repeat for as many rin...
