Some minor issues

First I will say I actually do own the phone! LOL
I have a few issues and was wondering if it was just my phone or others are experiencing the same?

1.) Ring & text alert volume. No matter which ring tone I choose, the volume is just too low to be heard in busy areas (mall etc.)

2.) If you make a call using the outside screen and have to enter a number (such as press one for store hours, press 2 for computers etc.), you have to open the phone to enter a number. Can not seem to find a way to enter a number from the outside screen?

3.) Playing a video. Can not seem to find a way to play a video of mine on the phone? I must be stupid or something! I find the file OK but how do you play a video?

Thanks for any help on these issues.

BTW sure wish there were moderators working this forum. A few of these threads are ridiculous. LOL

1: if you are sure you've exhausted the available volume settings for alert tones (unlock the phone and make sure the master volume is maxed using the external volume controls), you can use audacity to increase the volume of a tone you export to the phone. Experiement til your're just short of overdriving/clipping in audacity, then export as mp3 and save as rington using the usual methods..

2: After connecting, re-unlock the phone either with the lever on the side (easiest) or by tapping the touch screen. Press the phone icon. The number pad will appear on the outside screen so you can enter numbers.

Thanks for the help guys 🙂

#1 and #3 work fine but #2 is not working for me. When I hit the phone icon the number pad does appear but when I enter 1 or 2 or whatever it thinks I am making a call? It does not seem to have anything to do with the call I am already on??????????

2 definitely works for me; tried it again to make sure, and that's what's documented in the manual. Call tech support from another phone and walk through it with them.

hey lennydude...long time no speak 🙂 Yea, the key pad on the external screen works for me as well. Def call someone or try it again on another number? I call my bank all the time and punch in all the security codes from the external screen. Im finally getting used to the darn thing! haha

lennydude, I agree with you. I'm a phone fanatic but some of the threads on this forum are getting rediculous. I agree that there should be some sort of moderator to control the threads here. Some of then are just stupid!

Oh i completely agree with you. Some people have way too much time on their hands. I mean there's a difference between posting and responding back to threads, and then there's just engaging in stupid discussions like the one we're witnessing here. hahahah
