Hey Everyone, I was at a local Verizon store playing w/ the Voyager again and When i went to aaccess websites such as Meebo.com and even Yahoo.com, they didn't work. Is anyone else having this problem at all? It's really weird. Are you able to get to ANY website that you want to? What is the software upgrade supposed to fix for the Voyager? Thanks in advance for any help!

Did you ask someone at the store for help? I have the original firmware rev. I've found that some websites don't recognize the browser as supporting java e.g. meebo, even though it does, but most websites are fine, including yahoo. Note that yahoo and many others also have specific web site urls optimized for mobile phones, so use those when you can.

No i didn't ask anyone at the store for help but does Meebo work on the Voyager? How does that website work anyhow? Is it free or does it use text messages? I'm assuming that even witht he new software upgrade, the Voyager still won'ts upport Flash websites right?

The voyager has a free instant messaging client available (access through get it now), so I'm not sure why you're trying to get to meebo. Meebo is web-based IM portal for use where you don't want to or can't install a local client.

No flash in the browser.

Ok thanks. Yeah i didn't think it had flash as most other phones and even PDA's don't either. As for the mobile AIM, well doesn't that use up text messages? That's the only reason why I was trying to get to meebo.

I think it's part of your data charges, so it would depend on what data play you select, but check with verizon to make sure.
