So, went into local VERIZON store in NYC metro area to find out about the software update. Yeah, they knew there was an update...but, of course knew nothing about what the update remedies. Forget the fact that they hardly spoke English and could barely read; they are moronic as they are doing these updates for people and do not even know why.
I dig the phone...actually works quite well. Leave it to VERIZON and a good thing could possibly become a bad thing when installing the update that may not even be necessary.
You all are a lot brigher than the VERIZON folks (and need not apply for employment at VERIZON)...any advice regarding the value of the update if the memory card is not of issue?

Among other things, I noticed it has several improvments to the browser and makes it much easier to get back to the keypad when you call a number that then requires you to enter some additional digits (press 1 for ...etc)

I haven't really noticed a battery improvement like I've heard mentioned.. but the soft "Answer" button on an incoming call is larger, if you have your phone set to NOT auto-lock (like I have mine) it actually stays unlocked unless you get a call... (i.e. if you go into the menus it stays unlocked after)... small improvements, but I haven't noticed any drawbacks... and it didn't break the link to BitPim, you can still put ringers and everything else on the phone without the "Your service provider..." message from BitPim. Awesome.
