Data Charges (PIX Messaging)
I have the basic $39.99 450 min plan and $10 Unlimited In + 500 Message program.
My question is does sending or receiving Picture Messages count toward my DATA usage charges ($1.99/MB)?

Some questions are best answered by calling verizon customer service, not posting into a user to user help forum. These kinds of things are plan specific.

First of all you can NOT be on any Americas choice plan when you upgrade to the voyager. You must be on a nation wide select plan. With a nation wide select plan pictures messages count as data usage instead of using your minutes.

I was told with the nation wide plan that you dont get charged minutes or data when sending pixs, thats what they told me. That is why i wanted nation wide because of the minutes I was losing by sending and receiving pix from computers and non Verizon customers, I sure as hell dont want to find out they are charging M B to the bill, that will cost more.

My friend I am sorry to inform you but they are indeed charging you data usage on the new nation wide select plans. Each pic or flix message uses a small amount of data.

That pisses me off, as they told me since I had unlimited pix& text that didnt go against data or minutes. Need to check this out, but thanks Verizon Helper for the input. Verizon has found a way to make it sound good and make more money.

How about this V.H. do they charge any data charges for pix& flix if you get V-Cast package? or is it just $15.00 thanks
...
Yes, unlimited megabytes are included with subscriptions to the V CAST VPak or V CAST Mobile TV Select Package, or with Nationwide Premium Plans.

Have you received a bill yet with the charges for picture msgs....MB for browsing GIN or downloading another app would be charged...but if you have a pic and txt plan then it should not charge data...it might track it in the #data but not charge it...
