Go to settings and tools and then pick #4 sound settings and then #4 key pad

remember if it is on speaker phone it will be louder.

Never thought about that, thats true if on speaker phone it will blast out at you

ok, i had the speaker phone on. That's why is was blasting at me, but do I have to turn it back on when i open it to talk on speaker phone, or does it automatically turn on?
