LG Shine CU720

My Samsung Sync unexpectedly quit on me last month I'm looking at possibly upgrading to the LG Shine. What is the LG Shine like? Do you like it or does it totally stink? I have thought slider phones were always interesting. Any feedback would be appreciated.

So, with everyone complaining about this US version of the Shine, I have a few questions about buying an unlocked phone. If I were to buy an original unlocked Shine, I wouldn't be able to use the MobiTV, CV, XM Radio or download ringtones from AT&T with the US version, would I?

Also, has anyone confirmed that you can't use ringtones larger than 300k for personal ringers? Or that you can't change the text message ringtone?

Does v/dial suck on this phone, compared to what I am use to at vz or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

How do people with phones that also play MP3's (i.e. the LG Shine) manage their music libraries when they also own iPods, which use iTunes to manage and sync music.

Do the aforementioned phones also have their own media managers or do you just dump your music onto the phone? If these phones have media managers, doesn't that conflict with having iTunes manage your music library? I'm pretty OCD about how my stuff is filed and am happy with allowing iTunes manage my library. If I wanted to purchase something like the Shine, and it installs a media manager, will it try to then re-file all my music in its own way?

I have had this phone for over a month now, and I am back with my Moto RAZR V3xx.

The problems I have had is that it freezes up too regularly to be productive.

It also has a hard time keeping a signal, though it does hold one well during a phone conversation.

The slider part breaks easy and with out you knowing, mine doesn't easilly glide back in to place and needs to be pushed.

All in all its just not that good of a phone, there isn't anything on there you can't find on another phone, so why bother.

Is there any lg software that will allow me to add my contacts to the pc. It doesn't need to sync with outlook, just looking for something to transfer pics, and video

How do you use XM radio on this phone if it has no headphone jack? Does it just play out of the speakers?

Hey, does anyone know how to change the "AT&T" that is alwaus present on the home screen? Usually there is a Greeting or Display option in the Settings to modify this, but I can't seem to find a way??

I had a "mirrored" case for my iPod. It was way cool. I loved it. The mirror effect was just really cool looking....

until I got a little scratch over where the LCD display was. Game over.

Every time I turned on the iPod with the case, the scratch just looked awful.

I haven't seen this phone yet, but if it's anything like that mirrored iPod case, NO thanks.
