Put music on phone for free
I am pretty sold on this phone but am still not clear one thing. Can I put music i already downloaded on my computer on this phone without paying for anyting like Vcast or something?

Yes.There are alot of free software out there that will enable you to sync to your phone, that way you'll be able to transfer your music to your phone.

First, get a Memory Card so you can stow more than 12 songs.
As for compatible apps, there's Winamp, Windows Media Player, iTunes, etc. etc. etc. as long as the phone is in Music Sync mode and it has the drivers.
As for VCAST Rhapsody, it does not cost money to use it. Only costs money to download music from the Rhapsody Store. You can still use it to synchronize songs you downloaded from another source.

You dont even have to Sync. you can just put your phone into USB MASS STORAGE mode and drag files into your music folder.

Keep in mind that Music files are also subject to the idiosyncrasy I mentioned in another reply (see below-music from a Mac computer has this problem also):
You may be having problems with Mac produced files which have certain embedded Meta Data that devices based on PC software do not know how to handle.
I suspect you have a Mac computer. If you do, try this:
1. Download the free MPEG Stream Clip from www.squared5.com and convert your files with the MPEG converter. Use the Apple version of the MPEG conversion (the non Apple version results in stuttering video).
2. Download KopyMac to delete the Meta Data causing the problem. It is also free.
The result should eliminate the "Ghost" duplication of the file designation (the ghost one ...
