HTC Touch Pro (CDMA)
Messaging with Verizon's HTC Touch Pro Question
Hey!
I just received the HTC Touch Pro and, I have to say, I am not sure I love it. Or even like it. Big learning curve, I know...this is my first smart phone.
Anyhow...does anyone know if you can do "enhanced" messaging on this device? I will certainly call Verizon to ask this but I figured I would look here first.
I sent my first text message to a friend without error. However, when they replied (a message of about 400 characters), they received a message that [enter my cell # here] does not support enhanced messaging. That just seems crazy to me. Was it a fluke? I de-activated the phone immediately because I knew I would be getting a flurry of Christmas texts that I did not want to miss.
Honestly, I want a smart phone but if I can't send 1000-character texts with one, I will stick with my enV2.

Oh! And is there a way to see if a message was delivered with this phone? With my enV2, I could check the sent message and it would indicate the delivered time. Does the HTC Touch Pro have that capability, as well?
