How fast does the email get to the phone?
I use googles hosted domains and I am thinking about getting this phone.

Googles hosted domain
A quick question, does the G1 allow you to use Googles hosted domain? I use google to host my domain and therefore my email and calendar. It has the exact same interface as gmail does and runs using googles server and software, it uses my domain instead of the gmail suffix.
Anyone have any experience with this?

This is t-mobile best phone sadly its a dull piece of hardware (Extremely). Here is why...
Requirements: Only supported by t-mobile's network (crap 3g) wont work on At@t
U must have a data plan
U must have a gmail,
U must renew your contract even after paying full price for the phone
U must be in a area with 3g (will work poorly on edge dont believe me ask Eric Signal Quality
U must write down (contacts otherwise void warranty for switching sim cards)
U must use finger only (no gloves, no stylus or even a finger nail while using this device)
Features: No Video Camera
No Video messaging
No Computer Sync
No bluetooth transfer
No Voice Command I would go into detail but id be here forever on voice command)

I have a question for the reps.
I have pre-ordered my G1 phone way back since they announced it.. I did receive it on Oct 21st.. Well i wasnt sure if it went through becuase i didnt receive any notification so on Oct. 13 I went back online and said i was still elgible for my upgrade.. therefore, i figured it didnt go through, and ordered myself the G1.. Well today i get the news that i have another G1 phone waiting for me at my house.. I am so in love with this phone that i would like to keep both of them.. What would happen if i were to keep it? I dont mind being charged for the 2 devices because i expect to be charged.. Please let me know what you all think about this.. Thank you in advance..

ok so after literally like 5 hrs on the phone with tmobile tech support.. which really has no clue about the g1... well after talkin to about 4 they were 1 for 4... i found out that .. there is a bug going around . and mine got it .. what happend was i plug in the data cable and my comp says that there is a e drive connected.. and my g1 says that its connected .. however u cant drag and drop files into the g1.... now there should be a android sync program ,, but there is NOT.. 👿 so there is no way to explore files . but u can still drag and drop music and files and whatever u want and it will sync to the g1 .. well mine wouldnt do it .. also my batt like is not bad its really really bad.. standby we are talkin like 4 hrs .. even with ...

Keyboard on White version
From pictures I have viewed online, I think the keyboard on the White model is exactly the same as the one on the Bronze model. Any confirmation? The keyboard sucks because it's so hard to see.

Last Chance: Any Video Capture?
I have my G1 boxed to be returned. Not having a video camera is a deal breaker for me. I thought an app would come out to take care of it, then Rich said: "That's something that would probably require specific API support. I doubt it's there, or someone would have done it by now."

Usage tracking
I've been month to month for a while now on another network and I'm considering going to T-Mobile. I've been interested in the G1; however, the thing I've not been able to find any information on is wether or not google tracks your usage (i.e. What websites you visit). Anyone know or have info on this?

fun to play with, but taking it back
I'm the 1st to admit the screen and features are nifty and fun to play with, but on a practical level I just can't live with this phone.
For one, the battery life is horrible esp. for a phone that is DESIGNED to be played with a lot. Another design flaw is for all its media features, it lacks stereo bluetooth capability!! That right there is a complete deal breaker for me, I always use my phone as an mp3 player with my S9- and with built in youtube as well you'd think that'd be included- that was really unexpected from HTC. Speaking of youtube - some basic searches yield the dumbest, most obscure results instead of the common one you're looking for ( that comes up 1st on a normal youtube search).
The interface is mostly intuitive, MOSTLY...

Touch Screen
Just the end the debate. The G1 is a PRESSURE SENSITIVE TOUCH SCREEN!!!!!! You can use almost anything on it (finger, pen, stylist, ect.). The only heat sensitive touch screen I can think of is the IPhone

Wondering about Memory Card
I went to best buy today and was looking for a 8gb micro sd and all they had was the 8gb microSDHC card. He said it will work with my g1. Is he right or do i need to return this and get a micro sd.

software glitch?
i cant seem to figure out how to store my contacts to my sim card! i know everything backs up to the google website, but what if i wanna use my razr 2? i wont have my contacts stored.. can anyone help maybe im looking too hard for the sim option therefore im lookin past it. HELP!!!!
