Can someone tell me how it is text messaging using the storm? I currently have a VOYAGER and am thinking of switching to the STORM. Do I have to take the extra package for data with this? If so, what are the price ranges?

The cost of operating the phone without a package would be exhorbitant, and as Hawkeye mentioned, would negate features and attractions built into the package. For me, it would not even enter my mind to operate this phone in a limited manner.

My old moniker on this forum, "extremelunatic" would descibe anyone who would forego a feature-laden data plan... You wouldn't buy a Cadillac with an AM radio, would you?
