a few questions on the storm plz
Under options, then screen/keyboard...
1) what is the impact of changing the "tap interval"?
2) what is the impact of changing the "hover period"?
3) Just got my phone a week ago and it seems to have gotten "slower" and this morning when I unplugged the charger, the screen was blank w/ tiny blue dots for about 10 secs (sorry can't describe it any other way)...suggestions? thought? advice?
Thanks in advance!

Set your tap interval rate at 100 and the hover period at 100. Your swipe sensitivity should be set at 6 (high). The phone should perform adequately for you. 😳
These appear to be the settings of the experts on crackberry.com as well the suggestions I have received from the "folks in the know," right here on this forum..... 😳

My tap interval works best at 400 and hover at 100.

I'm always willing to try something that improves the performance of my phone. I'll see if 400 changes anything for the better....
...
Thank you both for your suggestions. At least now I know what direction to go towards.

Peanut4 is correct! Trying the tap interval at 400 does seem to improve the responsiveness of the phone. It reacts a "touch" faster...

1. tap interval is (should be) how many times or how fast u can click buttons. i only really noticed a difference on deleting text, lower is faster.
2. hover period is how long it takes for it to change to the different option based on hovering. for example, trying to move the curser in text message. lower hover period is faster to change.
3. .75 is stable but sucks. upgrade to a newer beta software. im running hybrid .114, but .99 is pretty good. so is .109.
my settings are keyrate -normal. tap interval-200 hover-100 swipe-5. for me on 6 its too sensitive. ill zoom in on a pic and try to look around, and it switches to the next pic.
hope this helps
